I’ve just woken up. I had a little party or gathering in my place last night. It was cool, I enjoyed it. I made sangrķa. We drunk for two or three hours and then we left for “Club Day”. It’s like a special day that happens every last Friday of the month, here in Seoul. One of the clubbing areas (well, the main one actually) gets completely people-flooded. The difference is that paying the amount of one and a half entry fee it’s possible to get in most of the clubs around. And that makes a difference.

The roller-coaster like Seoul nightlife is changing again, I guess. This clubbing area I’ve been talking about is getting very popular among foreigners. It might sound strange to be mention but the complex Korean society gets affected (or let’s say “stimulated”) by many different factors. A very big one is the amount of foreigners per square meter. It changes the whole feeling of the place.

Last year this place was in my opinion a little bit more foreigner-free thus the atmosphere was kind of relaxed. Now is getting more suffocating since more foreigners come.

I know, I am a foreigner :-) I’m just giving it a shot… trying to think. That’s all.

I’m back from Vietnam. The trip has been amazing. Really surprising for me: I didn’t expect that at all. It’s like the Philippines, but easier to travel around. I uploaded yesterday the album. It can be found on the pictures section of my site, on the “Travel” section.

I spent only six days. The word only is really important in that sentence: it’s a long country and it needs time to be explored. I had the chance to visit Hanoi, Halong Bay and Sapa only. Really worth every single minute spent there.

I went with two other people. We travelled together the first three days. And we split after that. I went up north to Sapa. Ten hours by train. The trip is not as uncomfortable as it sounds since it’s possible to sleep pretty well. It has nice beds.

Events like that make me wonder why I am here :-ppp. Let’s stop this, I don’t wanna get too mean ;-)

good night.

I’m in the office. I should be now in my daily Korean class. But I’m not. I’m flying to Vietnam tomorrow. And I had to get the ticket today. It was going to be delivered here, to the office. That’s why I’m here.

I left the office for lunch a bit earlier than usual (13:45h). The ticket was not here yet. So I called the office from the restaurant, after my lunch. I wanted to check that everything was correct. But it was not: the date was not correct.

So I came back. I got pretty pissed since the reservation had been made online. And I checked the online reservation thousands of times. And it was correct. Everything was correct. Even my name.

But now the ticket has two mistakes: my first name is misspelled and the return date is incorrect. It’s funny because the little summary that’s stapled to the ticket cover shows the correct date. Twenty fourth of July.

Mijeong called the agency. I ask her if she could do me that favor. She is one of the secretaries here, in the office. She called. The number that’s written on the envelope doesn’t answer. She calls again. And again. No answer.

I search in my bag for a name card. The company sounds familiar to me: “Top Travel”. It’s a pretty big travel agency here in Korea. I find a name card from someone else in the same company. She calls there and finally works out. She talks to the person that issued my ticket. She asks about the date. And the agent says that there is no problem about that. How come? Yeah, the ticket has been issued as a “group” ticket and the date that’s printed on the ticket is the one that the other people wanted to use. That’s her explanation. It sounds so weird. At least to me.

The agent keeps saying that it’s okay. It’s a common procedure here. The Land Of Chaos.

I have to wait for One Hour and go back to the agency. My ticket is being reissued since I was supposed to be named “Ounai” instead of “Unai”.

I’ll be there at 16.30h
